Persist Emergency Fund

The persist emergency fund provides short-term assistance for transportation needs, food access, and course materials.

We are excited to offer emergency assistance to help students persist. As of January 2024, the Persist Emergency Assistance Fund will help students with the following needs:

  • Transportation - for students who need access to/from campus and/or employment locations

  • Food - for students who’ve identified barriers to having appropriate foods needed to maintain adequate diet/nutrition levels

  • Course Materials - for students who need access to books, study guides, visual aids, multimedia presentations, web-ready content, and educational software

  • Other Identified Emergencies - our staff understands students may have other needs that arise. Our coaches will identify the best options for assistance which may include utilizing the emergency fund or connecting with community & on-campus resources

How to Apply

  1. Contact your coach via Text or Email

  2. You coach will send you a personalized link

  3. Complete the application within the link

  4. Our Emergency Fund team will respond you within 3-5 days

are you eligible?

  • Must be a current Persist Student

  • Must have responded to you coach within the last 30 calendar days

  • Have not used previous $200 ‘Persist Fund’ during the Fall 2023 Semester

The Persist Staff retains the right to evaluate and decide on requests based on fund requirements and student engagement.
